Thanks for the question! During your mid-luteal phase (otherwise known as your ovulation phase) Normal values for someone who is NOT on medication are 5ng/ml and up (ideally over 10). However, when you are put on medication such as Clomid, your doctor will be looking for higher levels such as 15+ in order to determine ovulation.
I'm not quite sure why your nurse suggested you were borderline-- If you'd like to have the chart I used handy, visit: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html and scroll down to the Progesterone in Pregnancy section. It includes the Ovulation phase as well as pregnancy levels.
