Given your husbands history with, not only, Pulmonary Embolism but high blood pressure along with what he's recently been through at the hospital-- I would say to follow your nurses advice and wait until he is given the green light by his doctor. I understand he may feel like he's up to it, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
