Hi S.S.,

Although it is more typical in teens than it is in adults, irregular periods are more common than we think. Usually it may start to regulate in the mid twenties for someone who has had irregular periods during their teen years. However, there are a few things you can do: You can ask for medication, sometimes something called Provera is prescribed to help induce your period. But to look into the underlying problem, you can go back to your doctor and ask for some tests to identify why your periods have recently been so irregular. You can ask for a complete physical exam, ultrasound of your ovaries, etc. Just to make sure that everything looks right.

Keep us posted!
