This is false. The 8000 figure is from the vagina monologues not a scientific source. The whole penis does not have only 4000 nerve endings, that is supposed to be the glans only, again I'm not sure if this figure is from a scientific source. The rest of the penis(shaft, inner prepuce, frenulum, frenular delta) have a lot more nerve endings. No reputed scientific source has documented the exact number of nerve endings but there are reports of the foreskin region alone having around 20,000 nerve endings. The entire clitoris and the entire penis probably have the same number of nerve endings just arranged differently.
