A home pregnancy test is 99% accurate at detecting any "pregnancy hormones" once you have missed your period (about 2 weeks after unprotected sex).
There is no "freaking out" about these things---it is just common sense and a health choice you make each time you fool around! You can take the drama and fear out of your decisions by knowing what safer sex is, and make choices to be safe..it's really simple and will keep you from worrying (and, you can enjoy yourself better with yoru partner, too, if you are not afraid of unintended pregnancy every time you are intimate).
"Fooling around" is too broad to know if there was even a chance of pregnancy, so please just know that if your male partner has a naked erect penis around you...it better be wearing a condom! :-)
