Fathers asking for rights over a fetus are basically asking for rights over a woman's body, and asking for rights concerning her private, personal medical history and medical decisions. Nobody has those rights over another person. And nor should they.

I can get that some fathers essentially feel jealous over women and their biology. But nobody asks for the plumbing they were born with. Women don't ask to have the capacity to carry children, and should never be forced to continue a pregnancy that takes permanent physical and psychological tolls on them. Being jealous over women's ability to carry a child isn't a reason to give men rights over female bodies.

If men get legal rights to a woman's body and reproductive biology, it's only fair that women get rights to theirs as well. If you have the right to force me to carry out a pregnancy, I have the right to force you to get a vasectomy, even if you don't want to. It's only fair.
