Good post on the interaction of users with the top dating sites of today. I completely agree on the last point that the more you search, the more likely are to succeed.
Unfortunately, most members do not actively do sufficient searching or look through the database of the website to locate other singles. Whereas females are at an advantage because they are likely to receive more emails than males, the importance of being proactive cannot be emphasized enough.
In addition to the top sites like match.com mentioned in this post, there are many free dating sites that doesn't cost a penny such as Jumpdates, Plentyoffish, Mingle2 etc.
I would encourage users to join these sites and especially if you are new to get used to the way it operates and the feel of the land. It will help you better prepare your profile, how to communicate effectively and of course to spot fake profiles which have become more predominant today.
