Rhesus (Rh) factor is an inherited trait that refers to a specific protein found on the surface of red blood cells. If your blood has the protein, you're Rh positive — the most common Rh factor. If your blood lacks the protein, you're Rh negative. Rh factor does not affect your health. The only time when Rh factor is taken into consideration is during pregnancy if you are Rh negative and the father is Rh positive. Otherwise it does not have any effect on your health whatsoever.
