Even if your period was late and only 4 days long, you still had a period and 4 days is a normal period. Regardless of whether or not you normally have 7-8 day periods, some months periods will be shorter than others. Considering that you also went into the ER and had a urine test done, which was negative, you have nothing to worry about. It is important to understand that every now and then our cycles change and this is completely normal.
