Then took it again 12 hours after [10.30 am the next day], 4pcs and 12hours after - 4pcs [10.30pm same day].july 28 i had a very heavy bleeding which lasted for approx 2 days.i am expecting that this is my period bec i am expecting my period to come Aug 3 but it came few days earlier.i am taking birth control pills right now which will end on aug 17. so i have 7 days to wait for my period to come.i took the pregnancy test awhile ago and it says negative (is this accurate?).im still worried if i can still be pregnant?and when should i expect my period to come?please enlighten me.thanks

Hi Anon,

If your period was due on August 3rd, any pregnancy test taken after that date is over 99% accurate. So, that would make you not pregnant.

Hi Anon,

When using a condom, you can tell if it has torn by looking at it when it is taken out and gently squeezing the bottom-- if sperm leaks, then the condom has torn. Usually condoms do not leak from the top unless it is very large for the penis size in which case it probably wouldn't even stay on.

Side effects of Nordette include: nausea, distention, breast tenderness, altered menstruation cycles, and breakthrough bleeding. There are chances of some women experiencing serious side effects like sudden weakness, chest pain, migraine headaches, heavy spotting, and elevated cholesterol.

Your period for august may be irregular due to the two days of heavy bleeding you had on the 28th. Please try not to stress out over this, your chances of conceiving were very low to begin with and by taking the oral contraceptive you should have eliminated the possibility.

You can take a pregnancy test at this point if you would like some peace of mind.

All the best,

Rosa
