I suffered from severe pelvic pain once every couple of months too BEFORE I was sexually active. I was told it was my bowel, "just period pain" this went on for years, then I became sexually active. after being hospitalised more than once, I was diagnosed with pid. Had a laparoscopy and they found adhesions and infection. They asked if I'd ever miscarried, not to my knowledge! I asked how I could get chlamydia if I wasn't having sex and was told " infections just get in sometimes. I recovered and went on to have 3 kids. They said I likely wouldn't be able to have kids. Between my 2nd and3 rd babies I had a miscarriage which caused endometriosis. I've been told by a nurse that I probably had endo all along, so maybe endos worth looking into. And remember drs don't always know what's best or right!
