In times of stress and crisis, it is absolutely normal to have a hard time sleeping, focusing, etc. You may find your mind wandering and making it incredibly difficult to concentrate. These are all normal human responses to challenging situations-- what's important is to always find a way to make it through those hard times. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to go on Facebook and browse through websites after hours upon hours of working hard-- just consider other alternatives such as going out for a short walk, paying a phone call to a friend, or working on your thesis from the outside of a Cafe where you can enjoy the fresh air as well as possibly meet someone with similar interests. Sometimes all we really need is a subtle change from our every day routine to get out of that "rut" we're in.
