Do you know what type of Dysmenorrhea you have? Primary or Secondary?
Secondary dysmenorrhea can be caused by:
Endometriosis
Ovarian cysts
Pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs)
Uterine fibroids (noncancerous growths in the uterus)
Intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUDs)
Scars inside the abdomen from previous surgery
Tumors
Inflammatory bowel disease
If it's caused by ovarian cysts, for example, then this could be a reason why you haven't gotten pregnant in so many years. Please see your doctor if you are trying to conceive.
