Like person above me ...it is an reaction to sun...certain lamps can do same thing....but yes i have it other places than my face.
BUT...you should have dermatologist check it out because it could be so many other things. Many things cause rashes....and once we have had lupus a while we get to know how lupus rash feels vs poison oak one or just sun rash feels...even than....it is good idea to let your dermatologist check it out..discoid lupus gets rashes/sores anywhere on body ..want to rule out that maybe that is actually the kind of lupus you have...bad but does not affect your internal organs.
If you have SLE , dermatologist should e part of your team....so might as well see one and have him as part of your treatment.
