Hi, I'm sorry to hear you have breast pain. I know the feeling and I've been through so much because of breast pain until I learned about breast pain matters. If you have large breasts it is really important to see a doctor because depending on situatio if you feel heaviness through your breasts it can be because muscle related.
At age 48 I'd say go see another doctor for second opinion. Explain everything be very serious about it and I'm sure he/she will help you. If you don't mind me asking are you from New York if yes I know the best doctor and he has been very helpful with me for a very long time. I'm going to see him this coming Tuesday. Let me ask you this do you have any under arm pain of anykind? Any deep sharp pain to the underarms? Does your under arm get boils? Do you have loss of appetite? If you say yes to any of these I'd say go see a dermatologist right away. It is possible that you are having similar symptoms as I was having and when I saw the dermatologist he diagnosed me with a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa. The skin in the axilla gets inflamed cause infection and create boils and the whole pain can spread to the breasts and throughout the chest.
If you have such under arm problem I'd say go see a dermatologist right away. It does seem odd as I was thinking when I saw the dermatologist it's because the problem is coming from the skin. If you have such pain and problem throughout your whole breasts it is best to see another doctor for second opinion.
