To answer your question, IBS can cause pain that can be felt in many different ways, and if this is your concern, do you have any other symptoms of IBS?

You are concerned about cancer, and I am curious what type of cancer has run in your family? Most cancers are asymptomatic, meaning, there are no symptoms. Cancer is not usually associated with pain at its earliest stages (there are other signs and symptoms you can learn about, depending on the type of cancer that runs in your family).

Can you tell us more about your other symptoms related to IBS, as well as what type of cancer you are concerned about?

Lastly, have you talked with a pain management specialist regarding your lingering pain and fatigue?
