Was the hysterectomy performed as a laparoscopic procedure? If so, it is quite possible that there may be gas( from the procedure not produced from your digestive tract). It is also possible that you have gastritis. There could be several things that are causing the upper abdominal pain.
Since you are only 3 weeks post-op, give your surgeon a call. He or she may want you to come into the office to be evaluated or may refer you to your primary care physician.
