Basically, he's keeping you around for the fringe benifits, but he is either seeing someone else or looking for someone else. You are the steady thing keeping him company until something better comes along. He could also be scared about you being sick and not know how to deal with it.
Don't waste anymore of your precious time on this man. Go have fun with your friends and have a good time. Confronting him about lying will only make him mad that you caught him. Just be brave ,although you will always have strong feelings for this man because he was the first , and move on.
