As a parent, I'm going to share my rule of doctors/emergency rooms with you: When in doubt, check it out!
When my first child was born I found myself spending A LOT of time wondering whether or not I should call his pediatrician, schedule an appointment, take him to the ER. Then I realized, 'if I don't at least call I will continue to stress over this for days, weeks, or months'. So now, whenever I'm not sure whether I should take my child in to the doctor, I call first. If their doctor thinks he needs to see them he tells me to bring them in, if not he will tell me what to monitor for and what I can do to make them feel better.
Believe me, as a mom, this little rule not only help make your son feel better but it will also make you feel better as a parent.
One thing I can tell you is that if he is walking just fine, it is more than likely not fractured.
