Dear Anonymous,

Pain that was not there before but is now (or started 3 years ago) needs to be consulted with a doctor.

The good news is that there are Public Health clinics that work on a sliding scale that you can go to. If you tell me where you are located, I would be glad to find one in your area.

For future reference, if you have a Walgreens in your area, they have a Take Care Clinic that will perform these diagnostic tests at a low cost:

Blood Glucose$3.00
Breathing Treatments with Nebulizer - ages 2+$20.00
Demonstration of Nebulizer Treatment$23.00
Influenza A and B Test$47.00
Lipid Panel$32.00
Mono Test$11.00
Pregnancy (Urine)$11.00
Pulse Oximetry$5.00
Strep Test$17.00**
Urinalysis

$11.00

Please let me know if you'd like me to help find a public health clinic in your area. Although it could be menopause for which you will need to use a generous amount of water-based lubricants and perhaps a vaginal moisturizer-- it can also be a vaginal infection so it is important that you are seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner.

Best,

Rosa
