This is absolute baloney, calories are next to useless as a measure of what effect a certain food will have on our bodies. For instance 300 calories of bread are going to be far more damaging and have significant impact on weight gain than 300 calories of beef. They are not the same and so it is wrong to treat them as they are. The only reason portion control is required is because the wrong foods are being consumed. Eat real foods, full fat, no refined sugar or grains and you can eat great plates of food. I am never hungry after a meal, eat the right foods till your full, yes even when needing to burn body fat! Forget calories, exercise, portion control, low-fat, wholegrain, fibre, five-a-day, cholesterol. Real food made from scratch is amazing, eat buckets of it for a leaner fitter you and live a longer happy life.
