Are you currently breast feeding? If you are doing so on a regular basis, then this could be the reason why you have not had a period yet. It is less common to not have a period after 11 months, however it is possible and once you are no longer breast feeding, your period should resume within 3-4 weeks.
If you are not breast feeding, then please contact your doctor regarding other possibilities.
