Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Because of the age, it might be caused by changes in your hormonal levels due to Menopause or many other conditions such as  Ovarian cysts, cervicitis, endometritis, fibroids, vaginal infections can also cause heavy bleeding.  It might be good to see your OBGYN about this and let him know of any other symptoms you might be experiencing.
