I'm not sure where to start..I just had my period 15 days ago and I do keep very good track of my cycle and my fertile days and ovulation cycle, so technically my period is not due for another 14 days. Me and my boyfriend had sex 3 days in a row (Fri,sat, sun)before my "fertile" days,(which began Monday) had no symptoms. Thursday, which was a day before my actual ovulation day I started spotting brownish, then pinkish blood. Enough to have to use panty liners. Yesterday (Friday) was my actual ovulation day the spotting increased to a light period flow and is brick red, still bleeding today(Saturday), now enough for a tampon. I've read up on implantation bleeding but that usually occurs a week or more after ovulating , not while ovulating. I'm so confused. Have had 3 successful pregnancies and this has never happened before. Another thing is my period last month(2 weeks ago) only last 4 days which is normally 5-6. I have been on birth control the last couple months, could that be throwing things off this much? Please help! Just trying to gain some insight on this and wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

I'm experiencing something similar. I should be ovulating about now, but I've been bleeding on and off since yesterday afternoon. I'd call it more of a light period flow when it happened. My concern is that when I google ppl describe brownish or pink blood when talking about ovulation bleeding. What I'm seeing is bright red with a few small clots. I've had cramps on and off and have felt generally lousy for the past few days.
There is zero chance I'm currently pregnant.

I'm having the same thing now. Did you ever figure it out?

Hi there, sakendr,
You may be experiencing mid-cycle bleeding or spotting during ovulation-- which can last anywhere from 4 hours to 1-2 days but should not be heavy bleeding.
If you begin to experience heavy bleeding, please contact your physician.
All the best,
Rosa
