Guide

Sperm from the dry-humping episode could not have entered your vagina because you were wearing a tampon and the guy's penis was covered by his shirt. In order to conceive (get pregnant) sperm has to enter your vagina, an egg has to have been released by one of your ovaries and the sperm must fertilize the egg. One of your ovaries releases an egg about 2 weeks before the start of your period. This is called ovulation.

Having unprotected sexual intercourse before the start of your period increases your change of getting pregnant.

After your baby is born, you could always have a paternity blood test done to confirm who the baby's father is. If there is a question on who the father is, paternity testing should be done as soon as possible. Postnatal testing includes blood collection and testing, cheek swab collection and testing, and umbilical cord collection and testing.

Before your baby is born, DNA testing can be done but this involves invasive procedures such as an amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.

Have you discuss your situation with your health care provider?
