Guide

Hello kitty04,
My first bit of advice is to make an appointment for a complete physical examination that includes blood tests.

Do you currently have a primary care physician? Is he or she receptive to the use of alternative or holistic medicine therapy in addition to conventional medical therapies?

There are physicians who will incorporate both methods in their treatment plans.

The only way to determine if you have hypothyroidism is to have blood tests done to check your thyroid hormone levels. Weight gain, fatigue and swelling in the face, hands and feet are some symptoms of an underactive thyroid gland.

I think with a proper diagnosis and treatment plan that includes conventional medicine, which may be necessary if indeed you have hypothyroidism, and a holistic approach, you will begin to feel much better.
