Guide

Hi Anonymous,

Let me explain.

When you ovulate, an ovary releases an egg. If the egg is not fertilized by sperm, the lining of the uterus begins to break down. The shedding of the uterine lining is seen as the vaginal bleeding of your period.

You cannot be pregnant if you have your period. When you are pregnant, the uterine lining stays intact and the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus.

I hope this helps you. To learn more about conception and pregnancy, check out the sexual health resource page
