An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy.
What is discussed during your gynecology appointment is confidential and only to stay between you and your OB/GYN.
Ultrasounds are not required unless your OB/GYN suspects possible ovarian cysts are the cause of your missed period.
No one can be 100% sure you aren't pregnant until you go to the doctor, of course.
