Hi sunni_81,

Surgical treatment of tarsal coalitions is indicated in cases in which conservative treatment has failed and symptoms persist. It is contraindicated when severe degeneration has already occurred.

I cannot tell you the success rate of this surgery but you can seek a second opinion from another podiatrist.

Wishing you and your daughter the best,

Rosa
