It would be hard for us to suggest a possible diagnosis and we cannot provide you a diagnosis on here although if you didn't have any sort of fall to cause the pain, I would certainly go to the doctor to have it checked. Some common things that may cause severe pain in the spine area are boils that can grow and need to be removed. The tailbone is also a common thing that can be broken but if you did not have an trauma, I would assume that may not be the case. Do yourself a favor and have it checked especially since you are in so much pain. Keep us posted.
