Hello roxymatrix,
If birth control pills are taken every day at the same time and each pack is started on time, they are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. So, if you have taken your birth control pills consistently there is only a 1% chance that you could be pregnant.

Your period starts when you take the placebo or inactive pills. It can start on the first day or a day or two later. This is normal.

You will not have a period when you are pregnant. Some women experience implantation bleeding, which occurs as the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus. It is scanty, pink or brownish discharge.
