Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Vaginal itching is the hallmark of yeast infections and other vaginal infections, including sexually transmitted diseases. It can be a reaction to chemical irritants found in detergents, soaps, douches, vaginal creams, toilet paper, bath products, feminine hygiene products and vaginal contraceptive products.

Have you recently started using a new product that comes in contact with your vaginal area?

The most common symptom of a vaginal yeast infection is itching in the vaginal and/or vulvar area. Other symptoms include burning, soreness, pain during intercourse and/or urination and a vaginal discharge that is odorless and typically has a whitish, thick appearance and texture that resembles cottage cheese. Do you have any of these symptoms?

The last possibility is a sexually transmitted disease. Are you experiencing a greenish or yellowish vaginal discharge, strong vaginal odor or pain during sexual intercourse or urination?
