This does not sound like implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is scanty and usually is a pink or brown discharge. It usually occurs about 6 to 12 days after ovulation and fertilization.
The timing, vaginal bleeding from brown to bright red, and clots makes me suspicious that you may have had an early miscarriage. Early miscarriages are very common. As many as three-quarters of all fertilized eggs are lost in the very earliest days of pregnancy.
