Make a visit to your local Planned Parenthood as soon as possible.
Painful urination is most often caused by an infection or inflammation somewhere in the urinary tract. Herpes infection in the genital area, irritation of the vaginal tissue caused by bubble bath, perfumes or lotions, or vulvoginitis, such as a yeast or other infections of the vulva and vagina can cause painful urination.
A physical exam and any testing, such as a urinalysis and urine culture, can diagnose the cause of your urinary problems. Speak with the nurse or doctor at Planned Parenthood about the changes in your menstrual flow.
