Although birth control pills should be taken at the same time every day, the correct way to make up for a missed pill is by doubling up, like you did. So, you should still be protected even though the pills were late. The only real way of knowing whether or not you may be pregnant is by waiting until your next period comes. If it is late, take a pregnancy test.
