DaisyAnna,

First and foremost in order to move past this bad test grade, you need to accept why you didn't score well. Did you not study enough? Did you perhaps overstudy (sensory overload can be just as detrimental as not getting enough information in before an exam), did you study the wrong material-- meaning, did you focus on all the irrelevant things about the test? Did you cram, or study over time? Instead of focusing on something that cannot be changed, you need to shift this depression into a moderate level of anxiety, which makes us productive and want to work hard for a goal. You've gone beyond that point to where you can only focus on this exam and how bad you did. Move on, this is a bad place to be.

What you need to change is everything you did to prepare for this last exam. If you don't know where to start go to some of your friends who did score relatively well and you can either ask how they prepared or you can start a study group with them where you will all give equally the same amount of dedication to a study guide-- this is important in groups. You don't want to be the parasite in the group that doesn't put any work in, but expects to get the same grade. As long as you're willing to change your thoughts on your current situation, you can still successfully pass your class. It's one grade Vs. All grades. I know it may seem difficult at the moment, since it seems as though you're consumed by how poor you've done but with school you need to wear big girl panties, take your grade, and move on to do better. The more you lag with this depression, the harder it will be to get back on track.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
