In addition to the diagnosis of psoriasis, it is possible that the redness and itching may be exacerbated by an allergic reaction to the sanitary pad, the soap you use or detergent that you use to launder your clothes, and type of fabric in your underwear.
Consider using a hypoallergenic bar soap and a dye and fragrance free detergent. Try cotton and looser fitting underpants. Close fitting panties made of polyester can trap in moisture. If you wear panties or pajama bottoms at night for sleeping, try not wearing them and a nightgown instead.
