As someone who lives in Connecticut, I am aware of the wonderful camp founded by Paul Newman. As a parent who has been diagnosed with cancer, I am aware of the negative impact this disease can have on every family member, especially children. My youngest son was 12 years old when I was first diagnosed. He became wiser than his years overnight. Children need the opportunity to be carefree, at least for a couple of weeks each summer.
