Not to mislead our readers, I want to clarify that the risk for developing swimmer's ear depends on where a person goes swimming. The risk is low if you swim in a well maintained chlorinated swimming pool. The risk increases if you swim in polluted water, or warm, untreated water such as rivers or ponds.
Also, according to the CDC, the vaccine for Lyme disease was taken off the market in 2002. According to an article on ScienceDaily, the results of a phase 1/2 clinical trial in Europe of an invesigational Lyme disease vaccine shows promise in clinical trial.
