Hi Livelove84,

Sorry to hear how you are feeling.  Since you don't have any family or friends around, definitely stress and depression can cause weight gain.  You need to let your family or friends know how you are feeling.  Maybe, plan a trip to see them or have a friend come over to your city to visit.   Once you have insurance or maybe checking with your local hospital can also help. In finding a doctor and getting psychotherapy, will help you in finding ways to overcome how you feel.
