Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question. Pregnancy hormones can remain in the body for weeks or months after a miscarriage.  Here are some tips you can do to help with the discomfort and the breast dry up sooner. Wear a supportive bra, even at night if it makes you feel more comfortable. 

Avoid touching your breasts. Any stimulation can cause a milk let-down, which signals your body to make even more milk.  Apply cold packs to your breasts. This will relieve both the swelling and the pain of breast engorgement. 

Freeze or refrigerate cabbage leaves, and place a few in each side of your bra. some say, the cold feels good, and the cabbage may help dry up your milk sooner.  Take an over-the-counter pain reliever, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, can help with the pain and swelling.  Also, if it does continues, it might be good to let your doctor know.  There are medications to help the breast dry up sooner.
