Hello Melissa,

You should seek the professional help of a psychiatrist only if you want to and feel that you can speak openly and honestly. If you cannot share all the things that are bothering you, then you would be wasting your time and the physician's time.

Based on your multiple posts and questions about your personal health and concerns, I think talking with a psychiatrist would be one of the best gifts you could give yourself. It is apparent that you have issues with your family members and these issues are affecting you. Talking honestly with a trained professional might get you on the right track to making your new year resolution a reality.

No, you do not need to stop seeing your social worker, unless you want to.

Regards,
Maryann
