"Famila 28 is a progestin-estrogen combined oral contraceptive that can also be used for emergency contraception. It is available in Pakistan and Peru.
You take 4 pills within 120 hour after unprotected sex and 4 more pills 12 hour later. Each dose contains 0.6mg levonorgestrel and 120 mg of ethinyl estradiol."
Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol that prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary). This medication also causes changes in your cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.
