You nailed it when you ended your post with the words that he is already very scared of commitment. Only he knows why he is afraid to commit and refuses to talk to you in public, face to face.
Anonymous, if this relationship is going no where and making you question yourself, walk away. A lack of interest and no further communication on your end may make this guy find you more of a challenge. If he is interested, he will make the next move. If not, he is not worth your time and effort.
