The theory behind cleaning your colon for centuries was that cleansing out the colon can reduce toxins that get trapped in your bowels. Here is my concern though...I am uncertain as to the reason why this suddenly occurred. Are you on medication after your surgery? Pain medication is often the first culprit of constipation. So since there may be secondary reason why the constipation occurred and if you try to relieve the colon - without proper medical advice, you may just cause another issue or concern. Talk to your treating physician for the best possible solution and a checkup may be necessary. Many of the solutions for constipation can cause severe cramping in the stomach area and I am sure you are not looking for that as a solution. Do yourself a favor and followup with your physician before you make any decision.
