Changing your health and changing your life doesn't have to involve a lengthy program and a whole lot of effort. Sometimes the maximum benefits can come from the simplest changes and by doing just a few things differently you can end up making your life better in a myriad of ways. This is in keeping with the 80/20 law – that 20% of the effort you put into things will often result in 80% of the benefits. The key is to identify those most effective changes and to focus on those instead of the 80% of effort that isn't worth the time.
Create a Quiet Room/Corner
This is a simple change you can make to your décor that doesn't have to involve a huge amount of money or effort – just a free space that you can use. Now what you're going to do is take that space and turn it into a place that is just for relaxing. There should be no clutter around this space so that it's impossible for it to become disorganised or untidy, and it should be comfortable and peacefully lit to ensure it's maximally conducive to relaxation. Let the living be a chaotic room, let your bedroom/home office get covered in mess, but keep this one room sacred for just relaxing in a clean and empty space.
Clear Out Your Computer
The above example shows how changing our surroundings can have a huge effect on our psychology and wellbeing. Move the mess and the work you have to do out of your sight and you'll find it much easier to switch off and relax.
But at the same time it's also important to bear in mind that it's not just our rooms that can get messy. Just as easily your computer can become cluttered which can make you feel similarly stressed and under pressure. Clean your computer of malicious files, organise your programs and remove what's unnecessary. Work will be quicker and you'll feel more relaxed when you do it!
Make a Home Spa
A relaxation space in your home can make a big difference, but if you want to go one step further then why not create a home spa? This doesn't have to cost a huge amount – it could even just be a spa tub in your bathroom and a massage chair. If you have the cash spare though, look for spas for sale or even saunas and relaxation at home will take on a whole new meaning!
Create a Home Gym
While we're in the process of making new spaces, creating a home gym is also a great way to make life better. Now you can train/work out without having to walk or drive in the rain for forty minutes, and this can make it that much easier to do. If you don't have much space, then you can always use a few items that collapse down and keep them behind a sofa.
And once you start training more regularly? You'll find you're healthier, more confident and considerably more productive and stress-free. Give it a go!
Add Eggs, Garlic and Milk to Your Diet
There are so many benefits to these food items that I don't know where to begin. From boosting testosterone for men and providing protein, to increasing vasodilation and helping with weight loss and more. Eggs even boost brain power through their chorine content. Make these staples in your diet and you will be transformed.
Throw Out Things You Don't Need
The last tip we'll share here (though there are many more) is to go through your things and throw out anything you don't need. While you might struggle to be ruthless, the more you get rid of the more liberating you'll find it can be. Your home will be tidier, you'll find things more easily, and you'll be freer to move home when the time comes.
