You heard correctly.

New research suggests that eating a lot of oily fish or taking potent fish oil supplements may increase a man's risk of developing prostate cancer.

Marine sources of omega 3 fatty acids may increase the risk for aggressive prostate cancer.

Fish oil is probably safe for most individuals when taken in low doses of 3 grams or less per day. Before starting any new supplement, please check with your physician first, especially if you have any medical conditions or are taking other medications.
