It can be a difficult time for both the aging parent and adult children. The choice of employing a qualified caregiver is such a good solution. This was the perfect solution for my grandmother. She was unable to be alone and care for herself. My uncle employed two wonderful caregivers who each worked a 12 hour shift. This allowed my grandmother to remain in her own home. My aunt and uncle would stay with her in her home on weekends.
