Welcome to EmpowHER. Pityriasis Rosea goes away without treatment. Although, antiviral medicines such as acyclovir can shorten the time of the rash. Applying lotion or lubricants can help soothe the discomfort. Time and patience is the only way to treat this condition. It usually last 6 to 8 weeks. I would talk it over with a dermatologist and let him know you will be out in the sun. Sun exposure might not make it better.
