What Can I Do?

Hi, I have a kind of problem and from this point I don't have a GI doctor to help me. First thing I know is end of next month I'm having a small surgery done which is a pretty personal matter and before my surgery I'm having presurgical testing's done. I do know for pre surgical testing is for being sure that you're doing okay before going through surgery. I have a kind of issue which is a GI related problem and right now I'm looking for a GI doctor in my area to go and see for this matter and meanwhile I know I have to solve this issue before my surgery so it won't be a problem at that time. The problem I have right now is I have gastritis I'm not sure how long it's been but I have a full feeling in my stomach and recently I've become very uncomfortable with this feeling. It's been months I have no appetite and what ever I eat I get more nausea. Three nights ago I was having severe nausea and middle of the night I woke up and threw up. Ever since I can't eat anything and I have more nausea. From this point I realized when I press down on my stomach I get a lot of pain in my muscle of my stomach. I feel the pain in my skin especially on the left side of my stomach. I know from here the problem is gastritis. A month ago I end up going to the emergency room and a doctor came up to me explaining my issue and told me that "if I have no appetite and have nausea it means something is infected from my stomach and possible to have some bacteria in blood". He was also telling me I should see a doctor who can do like a biopsy of my stomach and see what it is, he told me having a biopsy is a good idea to get to the root of the problem. Right now I don't have a doctor to say this to. I want to know such thing I was told from this doctor do you think it sounds reasonable from what he's telling me? I was thinking such thing I was told do you think it's a good idea I mention this matter to my surgeon who is doing my surgery? I'm sure he would be the one to understand this matter because he is doing my surgery and biopsy. Do you think this sounds right? Right now I feel sick in my stomach and I don't know which doctor to talk to. I really do need to solve this issue before my surgery of course. Do you think I should also say this to my naturopathic doctor, he is my doctor who is doing my scoliosis treatment and understands my issue as well? I appreciate your help in this.
Thank You,
Melissa
